Dr. Ernest Rex Tan, Co-Founder and Director of Dental Surgeons, embarked on his dental career after graduating from the National University of Singapore, and the renowned postgraduate Masters program in Restorative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute in London, UK. This training provided in Dr. Tan a firm foundation in managing the many complex reconstructive and cosmetic challenges that his patients present.
This together with years of transforming and beautifying smiles, has resulted in his acquiring the expertise, experience and artistic creativity required to perform predictable, consistent and successful Smile Makeovers with exceptional cosmetic outcomes.

Dr. Nancy Wong
B.D.S. (SINGAPORE)
Dr. Nancy Wong, a graduate of the National University of Singapore, received her Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery in 1991. Having been in practice for 16 years, she has special interests in treating children, patients with root canal problems and patients needing dentures.
Dr. Wong finds it exceptionally challenging to build rapport with her young patients, and derives great satisfaction in assisting these children in eliminating their dental fears. In areas of root canal procedures, Dr. Wong finds fulfilment in terminating pain arising from root canal problems. |

Dr. Kenneth Hangchi B.D.S. (SINGAPORE)
Dr. Kenneth Hangchi has over forty years of private practice experience. As one of the earliest dental practitioners in Singapore to be granted recognition by private hospitals to admit and treat patients, he has been very popular with patients prefering dental treatment in a private hospital environment. Given Dr. Kenneth Hangchi's proficiency in many areas of dentistry: restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, orthodontics and paedodontics, his is regarded by many as being a well-rounded dental practitioner.
His proficiency is also evident in his handling of many complex cases such as oral surgery or paedodontics under general anaesthetic in private hospitals. Given his gentle and patient demeanour, Dr. Kenneth Hangchi is well liked by patients, young and old. |

Dr. Alvin Yeo, a Consultant Periodontist at the Restorative Department (Periodontics Unit) of the National Dental Centre, Singapore, joined Dental Surgeons as a Visiting Consultant in February 2010.
Dr. Yeo also assumes the positions of a Clinician Scientist at SingHealth as well as a Senior Research Fellow at the SingHealth Experimental Medicine Centre, Singapore General Hospital. He previously held the position of Adjunct Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in National University Singapore from 2005-2009.
Dr. Alvin Yeo received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) degree from the National University of Singapore in 1997. He graduated in Periodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA in 2003 with a Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters of Science (M.S.) degree in Oral Biology. Dr. Yeo was conferred Fellow in the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (F.A.M.S.) in 2007. In April 2010, Dr. Yeo was awarded a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the University of Groningen, Netherlands, after successfully defending his Ph.D. thesis entitled “Novel Polycaprolactone-Tricalcium Phosphate (PCL-TCP) Scaffolds Customized for Reconstruction of Dentoalveolar Deformities.”
Dr. Alvin Yeo was presented the Exxon-Mobil Research Fellowship Award in May 2007. In 2006, he was awarded the SingHealth Clinician Scientist Scheme and the SingHealth Foundation Mentorship Programme Grant (2006-2010). In 2003, he received the International Team of Implantology (ITI) Fellowship to pursue a 1-year attachment in the Oral Surgery and Stomatology Department at the University of Bern, Switzerland as a Visiting Research Fellow (2003-2004). Dr. Yeo also received the Financial Year 1999 Human Management Development Program (FY99 HMDP) Fellowship to further his Postgraduate training in Periodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2000-2003).
Dr. Yeo’s major clinical and research interests include the evaluation of novel biomaterials and scaffolds for dentoalveolar ridge augmentation and dental implant related therapy. In addition, Dr. Yeo has extensive clinical experience in the management of periodontal disease both surgically and non-surgically. Dr. Yeo holds several positions in organizations and committees locally and internationally. Dr. Yeo is also involved in the teaching of the Postgraduate Periodontics Program. Dr. Alvin Yeo has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and has recently co-authored an Implant Surgical Guidebook. He lectures actively both locally and regionally on topics related to Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. |

Dr. Frank Lee Kong Fei, a Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics, obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) degree from the National University of Singapore in 1997, and garnered a specialist postgraduate degree in Prosthodontics at the National University of Singapore in 2004. A Fellow in the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (F.A.M.S.), Dr. Frank Lee is also a member in both the Prosthodontic Society of Singapore and the Singapore Dental Association.
Dr. Frank Lee has been in private practice as an Associate Specialist Prosthodontist since 2007. Dr. Lee also currently serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry of the National University of Singapore, and has been a Visiting Consultant at the Alexandra Hospital since 2007. Dr. Lee was a Registrar at the National Dental Centre between the years 2004-2007, and a Resident at the National University of Singapore between the years 2001-2004. Dr. Lee also worked as an Associate General Practitioner in private practice between 1999-2001, and as a Dental Officer in Community Dental Service between 1997-1999.
Dr. Lee worked on “Critical Bending Moment of 4 Implant-abutment Interface Designs” for his Master’s research thesis at the National University of Singapore in 2004, and produced the said and a Position Paper, Current Concepts of Immediate Implant Loading, in 2004. Dr. Lee is currently working with the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants on an article on Implantology to be published in 2010. |
